Alpha Win Napa Valley Spring Triathlon Set the Stage for a Competitive Race Season Ahead

(April 15, 2026) Napa, CA — On April 11, Alpha Win kicked off its 2026 California Triathlon Series with a memorable and competitive day at the Napa Valley Spring Triathlon as athletes pushed through the rolling hills of the Lake Berryessa recreation area to deliver impressive performances across all races. From the family-friendly Open Distance to the challenging Long Course, athletes were treated to great competition at every level.

Alpha Win Napa Valley was proud to host the USA Triathlon California North State Championships and also included a Club State Championship and a high school division in the Sprint distance, bringing together the next generation of endurance athletes on one of the region’s most scenic and demanding courses.

Despite a forecast calling for rain and cloudy skies, race morning broke with a beautiful sunrise to set the stage for an exciting competition at Lake Berryessa. “Conditions weren’t ideal, but that’s when you really see how a race is managed,” shared Jerome Guionnet, a participating athlete. “They [Alpha Win] made thoughtful decisions for athlete safety like adjusting swim start times and ensuring lifeguards were rested. The event felt well organized, supportive and the scenery is incredible. I signed up for next year before even leaving.”

The top priority of Alpha Win is always athlete safety, a great experience and delivering a race that meets the moment. Athletes enjoyed a cool day of competition that truly highlighted the strength of the triathlon community and the spirit of the sport. The addition of the State Championships brought an added layer of energy and excitement,  showcasing endurance athletes across the state and beyond as they competed at a high level, while also gaining valuable race experience on a Championship course.

The event welcomed participants of all skill levels from youth to high schoolers, to first time triathletes and seasoned veterans, reinforcing Alpha Win’s mission of providing “A Distance for Everyone™”.
